My name is Niloufar Zakariaei. Niloufar in Persian is the same as water lily in English. I describe myself as adventurous, curious, resolute and flexible. I believe in the universe fractal structure. In other words, aesthetics in various concepts may converge. This made me intrigued to contemplate in science, literature, philosophy and art.
About me
I graduated in biomedical engineering from Wayne State University in July 2019. I'm did my master thesis on “Contrast Mechanisms for Tumor Imaging at 0.35T” under supervision of Prof._E._Mark_Haacke and Dr._Carri_Glide-Hurst . We introduced a multi-contrast, multi- parametric image acquisition/processing pipeline using endogenous tissue contrast on a 0.35T MR-linac. This work was selected for best in physics (multi-disciplinary) award , AAMP_2019 . Best-in-Physics presentations are those scoring highest in the abstract review process and judged by the Scientific Program Directors to reflect the highest level of scientific quality and innovation I was former research assistant at Advanced_Medical_Imaging_Research_(AMIR)_Lab . I did my bachelor thesis on “Assessment of fMRI Phase Images by means of Averaged BOSS Technique” . Also, I have research background in MR-safety and electromagnetic.Persian Calligraphy
I started calligraphy since I was 10. Persian calligraphy is elegant and needs great perseverance to be adept. Calligraphy has been taught to me that beauty isn’t perfection … beauty is proportion!
Photography
Photography is my best practice whenever I get bored. I only need my camera to refresh my mind. To be able to capture beautiful photos, swiftness, delicacy, vision and knowledge are crucial. Photography has taught me selecting convenient items in the frame is important as disregard the trivial ones. Some thing we need to let triteness to go.
Amateur Theater Acting
First time I was on the stage, I found myself to figuring out myself. It was a unique feeling that I never had before. I started to read playwrights to discovering how great artists defined life. Sometimes they emphasize on the points that philosophers and scientists mentioned. Actually, this makes sense. We all trying to unveil secrets in the world by different approaches.

Art elevated my insight and vision in problem solving in the life.
